Pualoto Polynesian Hula Dance Class is here to serve boys and girls over the age of 6, men and women who have a desire to have fun and to learn how to become Polynesian dancers.
Our Mission is to help our students with fitness, self-confidence, and expressing love, positive attitudes, appreciation through Polynesian Dance. We are not focusing on detailing the stories, legends, culture and language. Even though they will eventually come to love and respect the culture, no doubt about it.
All our dances are accompanied by recorded drumming and music. We have beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers. We all work together in the same class to develop move, style, fitness, unity, self-confidence in their dance. Experienced luau entertainers are there to assist the less experienced dancers with technique and all basic skills.
Students that are currently attending our classes come with different reasons and purposes. Some of them, they love to dance hula or they may have already started somewhere else and they already have the patience for hula dancing. Some students find this class because it helps with their self confidence. They shy no more, they feel accepted and they love themselves. It is fun and exciting, makes everyone feel like they are in Hawaii or other islands of the Pacific, learning other culture's dance is also a learning experience for our students.
